We're taking a break from the Sunday Morning Meditation series for the month of May. We are working on reinventing our Meditation Program for the fall.
Thank you!
The Sunday Morning Meditation Programs are dedicated to the enhancement of meditation skills through a combination of practice and comprehensive instruction. These sessions are thoughtfully designed to provide a diverse learning experience.
Ven. Carol will lead sessions encompassing both concentration meditation and analytical meditation, which delves into the profound teachings of the Graduated Path to Enlightenment. This analytical meditation method involves a careful examination of essential concepts such as impermanence, compassion, and happiness. By contemplating these fundamental ideas, participants will deepen their understanding of their own minds and the world around them.
It is crucial to understand that the ultimate objective of all meditation practices within the Tibetan Buddhist tradition is the cultivation of two key qualities: calm abiding and special insight. Calm abiding refers to a clear and single-pointed mind abiding on its object, while special insight pertains to a profound understanding of the nature of reality. Our meditation sessions are explicitly designed to help you develop these invaluable qualities, empowering you on your spiritual journey.
These sessions are not only about individual growth but also about providing practical guidance and support for students aspiring to achieve these goals. Alongside guided meditation and practice, ample time will be allocated for questions and discussions, ensuring that participants can clarify their doubts and deepen their understanding.
We warmly welcome both beginners and experienced meditators to join our Sunday Morning Meditation Programs. Whether you are just starting on your meditation journey or seeking to enhance your existing skills, our inclusive and supportive environment will nurture your spiritual growth. Together, we will explore the profound path of meditation, working towards a more peaceful, insightful, and compassionate way of life.
Everyone is welcome - we encourage wearing a mask. We look forward to having you join us!
